Selection process

Selection is based on a Computer Based Test only. The source states that no interview is held for these Group 'B' posts, and final selection rests solely on CBT merit.

  1. CBT with objective multiple-choice questions.
  2. Shortlisting by CBT merit, at three times the number of advertised posts plus ties.
  3. Scrutiny of applications.
  4. Verification of original documents.

CBT pattern and qualifying marks

  • 100 questions, 100 marks, 100 minutes, in English.
  • 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for General/EWS and 35% for SC/ST/OBC. PwBD candidates follow the minimum for their caste category.

Tie-breaking order

Ties are resolved in this order: fewer wrong answers, earlier date of birth, higher 10+2 percentage, then higher Matric/10th percentage.

Exam centres

The CBT will be held in many cities across several states, including Chandigarh/Mohali, Delhi/NCR, Lucknow, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Guwahati. The exam date has not been announced, so check the notification for the full city list. Exam centres are not job locations.

Official notification and evidence limits

The details above come from a secondary job-portal summary that links to the official notice. Read the PGIMER notification PDF before paying the fee. The supplied evidence does not state the exact closing time, the CBT date, the age reckoning date or the footnote conditions for age relaxation.

Do not confuse this with PGIMER's separate Senior Resident and Demonstrator advertisement (PGI/RC/051/2026/1180), which is a different recruitment.
