JPG, PNG or WebP · Up to 100 MB / 100 MP

Your download will be at or below this size. If needed, we’ll reduce dimensions to fit. Nothing is cropped.

Proportions are always kept.

Leave this unchecked to let large images fit the KB limit automatically. Entering a width or height locks your chosen dimensions.

Leave the minimum at 0 unless your form requires one. JPG gives transparent areas a white background. PNG keeps transparency and may need smaller dimensions. 1 KB = 1,024 bytes.

How to compress an image to 20 KB

  1. Choose your image. Select a JPG, PNG or WebP file, or drag it into the box. Its original size and dimensions appear automatically.
  2. Set the maximum to 20 KB. This is the default. Select Resize image to prepare a JPG download.
  3. Preview and download. Check the file size, dimensions and clarity, then select Download image.

The target is a maximum, so a 19 KB result meets a 20 KB limit. This tool uses 1 KB = 1,024 bytes and never adds empty data to reach an exact size.

Compress to 30 KB, 50 KB, 100 KB or 200 KB

To compress an image to 30 KB, select the 30 KB shortcut before resizing. The 50 KB, 100 KB and 200 KB buttons work the same way. For another limit, such as 10 KB, 40 KB or 80 KB, enter it in Maximum file size (KB).

If your form allows a range such as 20–50 KB, set the maximum to 50 and open More options to set the minimum to 20. Use the limits stated in your form; photos and signatures may need different settings.

Reduce a large photo while keeping the whole image

Compression first tries to fit your target at the selected dimensions. If that is not enough, the tool reduces width and height together, keeping the image’s proportions. Nothing is cropped. The preview shows the actual dimensions of your download.

Need a specific width or height? Open More options and enter it; the other dimension adjusts automatically. Editing either value locks the dimensions. You can also select Keep these dimensions to prevent further resizing. If the KB limit cannot be met at that size, raise the limit or allow smaller dimensions.

Choose JPG, PNG or WebP

Change the output format in More options. A file that already meets your settings downloads unchanged when its format matches and no edits or processing resize are needed.

Image compression questions

Can I compress an image without losing quality?

If your original already fits and needs no changes, it can be downloaded unchanged. Otherwise, JPG and WebP compression can remove detail, and smaller dimensions can make text or signatures harder to read. Use the largest file size your form accepts and check the preview before submitting.

Can I compress a large image to 20 KB?

You can choose JPG, PNG and WebP images up to 100 MB and 100 megapixels. Large images may need much smaller dimensions to reach 20 KB. Very large images are first scaled for browser processing, with a notice showing the working size. Keep Keep these dimensions unchecked to allow resizing when needed. A damaged file, unsupported format or an impossible combination of limits still needs a different image or settings.

Why is my image smaller than the minimum KB?

A simple or small image may stay below the minimum even at maximum quality. Use a sharper, larger original. Adding empty bytes would not improve the image, so this tool does not pad files.

Are my photos uploaded or stored?

No. Processing happens in this browser tab on your phone or computer. Your selected image is not sent to our servers, and you do not need an account.

Will a compressed photo or signature be accepted by my exam portal?

Meeting the file limits does not guarantee acceptance. Check clarity, face coverage, handwriting, background and the official portal preview yourself. This tool cannot verify identity or whether a signature or impression is genuine. When live capture is required, use the official portal’s camera process.

Pixel dimensions are separate from centimetres and scanner DPI; this tool does not certify physical print size or scanner settings. It also does not compress PDFs, generate signatures, write declarations or replace backgrounds.
