The Airports Authority of India (AAI), a Schedule-A Mini Ratna public sector enterprise under the Government of India, is recruiting 1 Co-Pilot (P2) on a fixed-term contract basis for its Flight Inspection Unit (FIU) at Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi.

About the Job

The engagement is for 3 years, extendable by 2 years based on performance and mutual consent. The flying platform is the Beechcraft B350/B360 aircraft, used for flight calibration of CNS facilities including ILS, VOR, DME, NDB, and radar systems.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Indian nationals only.
  • Educational Qualification: 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board/university.
  • Valid and current DGCA Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with at least 500 multi-engine flying hours and 1,000 total flying hours.
  • Current ratings: FRTOL, IR endorsement, RTR (A/P/C), Class-1 medical certificate.
  • Valid Indian passport or proof of passport application submission.
  • Age limit: Maximum 60 years as on 29 September 2026 for first engagement.

Selection Process

There is no written exam. The selection is based on:

  1. Scrutiny of applications against eligibility and document criteria.
  2. Personal interview for shortlisted candidates. Venue, date, and time will be communicated by email.

No TA/DA is provided for interview attendance. Government and PSU employees must bring an NOC at the interview.

Application Procedure

  1. Download the official recruitment advertisement PDF dated 29 September 2026 from AAI official website or provided links.
  2. Fill Annexure-I form (attached to the advertisement PDF) completely, including pasting a recent passport-size photo and providing detailed license and flying hour information.
  3. Attach colored scanned copies of required supporting documents such as educational certificates, pilot licenses, medical certificates, passport, and flying logbook extracts.
  4. Email the signed and scanned Annexure-I along with attachments to edfiu@aai.aero and FIU.NSOP@aai.aero on or before 20 October 2026.

Failure to send to both email IDs or incomplete applications will lead to rejection.

Important Notes

  • Age cutoff is as on 29 September 2026, not the application last date.
  • If not type-current on B350/B360, a training path is available with a 3-year bond and bank guarantee, with a stipend of ₹50,000/month during training phase.
  • CPF, gratuity, and AAI medical facilities are not part of the contract.
  • Selected candidates must arrange their own housing at Delhi base; outstation accommodation and transport are provided during calibration duties.
  • Contract includes 12 days casual and 18 days sick leave annually without carry forward or encashment.
