Educational Qualification
Eligible officers belong to Central Government, State Government, UT administrations, PSUs, Universities, recognized research institutions, semi-government or autonomous bodies, and statutory organizations either holding analogous post or with 5 years regular service in grade pay Rs.7600 or equivalent. They must also possess 12 years of experience including 8 years in intelligence, investigation, adjudication, prosecution, fiscal/criminal law related work, finance/accounts, corporate affairs, and 4 years in administration.

Pay Scale
Pay Matrix Level 13 (Rs.123100-215900) with Grade Pay Rs.8700 (pre-revised Rs.37400-67000). Officers in Enforcement Directorate are entitled to Special Incentive Allowance at 20% of basic pay.
