Clerk and Clerk I.T. Recruitment 2025 by Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board

About the Notification

The Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board invites online applications for recruitment to 70 posts of Clerk and Clerk I.T. under Group C services in various departments of the Punjab Government. The application process is fully online. Candidates will be selected through a written examination followed by qualifying typing tests in Punjabi and English.

Age Limit

Candidates must be aged between 18 and 37 years as of 01-01-2025. Upper age relaxation up to 42 years for reserved categories of Punjab state. Upper age limit of 45 years for state and central government employees. Age relaxation rules according to Punjab Recruitment of Ex-Servicemen Rules, 1982 apply. For widows, divorcees, and certain categories of married women, upper age relaxation up to 40 years is applicable.

Educational Qualifications

Clerk:

• Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university or institution.
• At least 120 hours hands-on computer or IT course experience or equivalent DOEACC 'O' Level certificate.
• Must qualify Punjabi (Unicode compliant Font Raavi) and English typing test at 30 words per minute.
• 10th class pass in Punjabi language.

Clerk I.T.:

• Full-time degree in BCA, B.Sc IT or B.Sc Computer Science from recognized university.
• Must pass Punjabi and English typing test at 30 words per minute.
• 10th class pass in Punjabi language.

Qualification certificates must be obtained before the last date of application.

Application Fees

Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Pay Scale

As per 7th Central Pay Commission, pay scale of Rs. 19,900/- (Level-2). Applicable allowance letters from Personnel Department will be implemented.

Selection Process

1. Written examination consisting of Objective Type MCQ questions.
2. Exam has two parts: Part A is Punjabi language qualifying test (minimum 50% required); Part B is based on syllabus for posts.
3. Typing test in Punjabi and English languages which is qualifying in nature.
4. Merit list prepared on marks of Part B only. Passing Part A is mandatory.
5. Typing test is mandatory to qualify.

1. Apply online through official website https://sssb.punjab.gov.in under 'Recruitment' menu -> 'Group C' from 26-11-2025 to 26-12-2025 till 5:00 PM.
2. Carefully read instructions and complete all steps successfully.
3. Upload scanned passport size photo, signature, educational qualification certificates, computer qualification, and category certificates while filling the form.
4. Make fee payment online after submission. Last date for fee payment is 29-12-2025.
5. Data once submitted cannot be changed later. Follow government guidelines strictly.
