Age Limit
Age limits calculated as on 01.07.2026. Generally, minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 32 years for general candidates. Age relaxations are applicable as per government norms for reserved categories, ex-servicemen, and persons with disabilities. Specific posts have different age criteria as mentioned in the notification. Proper age proof documents are mandatory for verification.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Degree from any recognized University. Certain posts have preference for candidates with specific degrees or diplomas, such as MA in Social Work, Law Degree, Commerce Degree, or Diploma in Labour Welfare depending on the post. Pay Scale
Pay levels for Group II posts range from Level 9 to Level 18. Group IIA posts have varying pay levels according to their departmental norms. Salary will be as per the Tamil Nadu Government pay matrix and applicable allowances.
Selection Process
- Common Preliminary Examination as a screening test.
- Separate Main Examinations for Group II and Group IIA Services.
- Merit-based ranking according to marks in the Main Examination Paper II.
- On-screen Certificate Verification and subsequent Counseling.
