About the Notification
The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) invites applications for the position of Director at the CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute (CSIR-NBRI), Lucknow. The institute is a premier center of excellence in plant sciences, conducting advanced research and innovations. The Director post is at Pay Matrix Level 15 (Rs. 1,82,200 to Rs. 2,24,100) and is appointed for six years or until superannuation, whichever is earlier.
CSIR-NBRI specializes in plant biotechnology, molecular biology, genetics, biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and related frontier technologies, contributing significantly to sustainable development goals and national priorities.

Maximum Age: 56 years
Relaxation in age and qualifications may be granted in exceptional cases with approval from DG, CSIR.
Educational Qualification
Mandatory: Ph.D. in Natural Sciences or Master's degree in Engineering/Health/Medical Sciences (Ph.D. desirable where applicable). Minimum 16 years of R&D experience focusing on translational research and proven leadership qualities are required.
