About the Notification

The Defence Electronics Applications Laboratory (DEAL), under the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), is a premier research laboratory working in the areas of software-based radios, satellite communications, data link and surveillance technologies. DEAL invites applications in 2026 for its DRDO Paid Internship Scheme from eligible Indian citizens pursuing final year B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. (Electronics) courses. The internship duration is fixed at 6 months with a total stipend of ₹30,000 paid in two installments.

Educational Qualification

Eligibility: Full-time B.Tech./B.E. students who have completed their 3rd year/6th semester or will complete by July 2026. Full-time M.Tech./M.Sc.(Electronics) students who have completed 1st year/2nd semester or will complete by July 2026. Applicants must have passed all exams without backlog in the first 5 semesters. A minimum CGPA of 7.0 on a 10 scale is required. A copy of CGPA proof must be submitted with the application.

Pay Scale

A total stipend of ₹30,000 will be paid in two installments: ₹15,000 after completion of 3 months and another ₹15,000 after completion of 6 months, subject to minimum attendance of 15 days per month.

  2. Fill the application form correctly.
  3. Attach a recommendation letter from Head/Dean/Principal of the respective institute.
  4. Attach mark sheets, Aadhar card, college ID card, and other essential documents.
  5. Send the filled application form via Speed Post to the address given below.
  6. Mention "Application for DRDO Paid Internship" and "Branch / Discipline" on the envelope.
