About the Notification

The National Human Rights Commission invites applications on deputation basis for various posts. These positions are open for officers from Central Government, State Governments, UT Administrations, autonomous bodies, PSUs, universities, or recognized research institutions. Candidates must possess the prescribed qualifications and experience for each post. The maximum age limit is 56 years as of the closing date for applications.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 56 years as on the closing date of submission of applications. Age relaxations shall be as per government norms wherever applicable.

Educational Qualifications

  • Joint Director (Research): Master's degree in Law, Social Science (Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, Economics, Human Rights, Psychology, Population Studies, Criminology) or Statistics from a recognized university with five years research experience.
  • Assistant Registrar: Bachelor's degree with Law from a recognized university.
  • Senior Research Officer: Master's degree in Social Science or Statistics with three years research experience.
  • Principal Private Secretary: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
  • Assistant Information Officer: Bachelor's degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism with at least three years supervisory experience in public relations or publishing.
  • Other posts require respective qualifications and experience as described in the notification.

Application Fees

No application fees are specified in the notification.

Pay Scale

  • The pay scale is as per the Pay Matrix level mentioned against each post.
  • For example, Level-12, Level-11 etc.

Selection Process

  1. Verification of applications and eligibility criteria.
  2. Appointment on deputation basis to respective posts.
  3. Additional selection procedures may apply as per post requirements.

How to Apply

  1. Fill the prescribed application form (Annexure-I) properly.
  2. Attach required documents such as APAR copies, Integrity certificate, Vigilance clearance, details of penalties (if any), etc.
  3. Send the application through proper channel to Under Secretary (Estt.), National Human Rights Commission, Manav Adhikar Bhawan, 'C' Block, GPO Complex, INA, New Delhi - 110023 within 45 days from the date of notification.

Required Documents

  • Attested photocopies of last five years' APAR
  • Integrity Certificate
  • Vigilance/Disciplinary clearance certificate
  • Details of any penalties imposed in last 10 years
  • Other relevant documents as applicable
