Prasar Bharati, Regional News Unit, Doordarshan Kendra, Patna invites applications for empanelment of casual assignees in various categories. Candidates must be of Indian origin residing in Patna. Posts include Newsreader-cum-Translator (Bhojpuri, Maithili), Newsreader (Urdu), Video Editor, CG Operator (Urdu), Editorial Assistant (Urdu), Copy Editor (Urdu), and Website Assistant. Candidates must satisfy prescribed age limits, educational qualifications, and other conditions. Age Limit

Maximum age applicable as on last date of application, 30 May 2026. Age limits are:

Newsreader-cum-Translator and Newsreader posts (Bhojpuri, Maithili, Urdu) : 21-40 years
Other positions like Video Editor, CG Operator, Editorial Assistant, Copy Editor, Website Assistant: 21-50 years

Age relaxation may apply as per rules.

Educational Qualifications

Newsreader-cum-Translator: Degree from recognized university; fluency in specific language dialect; ability to translate, good voice and broadcasting skills.
Video Editor: 10+2, Degree/Diploma in Film & Video Editing; 2 years experience.
CG Operator: 10+2, Certificate in computer applications, working knowledge of Urdu; 1 year experience desirable.
Editorial Assistant and Copy Editor: Degree and Diploma/PG Diploma in Journalism/Mass Communication; relevant experience.
Website Assistant: Degree and Diploma in Journalism/Mass Communication; exposure to new media operations desirable.
