About the Notification

The Government Medical College, Wanaparthy District, Telangana, under the administrative control of the Director of Medical Education, invites application for contract and honorarium teaching and resident posts purely on a temporary basis till 31 March 2027 or until regular appointments are made, whichever is earlier. Posts include Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Senior Resident, and Tutor. Walk-in interview is scheduled for 12 August 2026.

Age Limit

Maximum age for Assistant Professor posts is 65 years as on 31.03.2026. For Senior Resident and Tutor posts, maximum age is 45 years. Age relaxations will be applicable as per government rules.

Educational Qualifications

Professor: MD/MS/DNB in concerned subject as per TEQ regulations of NMC with 8 years post-PG experience, 4 research publications (2 as Associate Professor), completed Basic Course in Medical Education Technology and Biomedical Research from NMC recognized institutions. MBBS and additional qualifications registered with Telangana State Medical Council.

Associate Professor: MD/MS/DNB with 5 years post-PG experience, 4 years as Assistant Professor, at least 2 research publications, completed relevant basic courses, registered qualifications.

Assistant Professor: MD/MS/DNB as per TEQ norms; for non-medical departments MSC and PHD are required; 1 year Senior Resident experience. Registered MBBS qualifications.

Senior Resident: MD/MS/DNB/MDS as per TEQ, registered qualifications.

Tutor: MBBS, registered.

Selection Process

Marks obtained in relevant PG degree (MD/MS/DNB/DM/MCh/MDS), 50% considered if marks unavailable.
Reservation rules applied as applicable.
Local candidates given first preference, followed by candidates from other states.
DNB candidates selected as per NMC guidelines.
Selected candidates must produce relieving order from previous institutes.
Contract basis does not guarantee regular employment.
