Age Limit

Minimum age: 18 years. Maximum age: 35 +5 years for General; 38 +5 years for OBC II(A), II(B), III(A), III(B); 40 +5 years for SC/ST and Category I. The 5-year relaxation is a one-time measure as per government order.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a degree from a recognized university in Science/Arts/Commerce/Business Management/Computer Applications/Business Administration with minimum 55% aggregate marks for General and OBC categories, and minimum 50% for SC/ST categories. Knowledge of computer operation is mandatory.

Pay Scale

Pay scale ranges from 25,500 to 81,100 (Level-4) along with admissible allowances.

Selection Process

  1. Competitive Test (90 minutes duration)
    • English Essay: Max 30 marks, minimum 20 marks to pass
    • Translation from Kannada to English: Max 30 marks, minimum 20 marks to pass
    • General Knowledge Test: Max 20 marks, minimum 10 marks to pass
  2. Interview: Max 20 marks, minimum 10 marks to pass

Total marks: 100, minimum qualifying marks: 60.

  1. Visit the official website https://judiciary.karnataka.gov.in and fill the online application form.
  2. Fill in the details and upload required documents.
  3. Pay the application fee online through SBI payment gateway using Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card/UPI.
  4. Download and keep a copy of the submitted application and payment receipt.
  5. Submit the application on or before the deadline of 11 September 2026, 11:59 PM.
