Age Limits
Age limits and relaxations vary by post and category:
- Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil): Max 38 years (OBC), 10 years relaxation for PwBD.
- Assistant Executive Engineer (Electronics): UR-35, OBC-38, SC/ST-40 years, 10 years relaxation for PwBD.
- Assistant Director: UR-30 years, 10 years relaxation for PwBD.
- Superintendent: UR-35 years, 10 years relaxation for PwBD.
- Research Officer: UR/EWS 35, OBC 38, SC 40 years, 10 years relaxation for PwBD.

Educational Qualifications
Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil): Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university (including AMIE).
Assistant Executive Engineer (Electronics): Degree in Telecommunications / Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
Assistant Director (Engineering): Bachelor’s in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
Superintendent (Hindi Branch): Master’s or Bachelor’s in Law with minimum experience and Hindi knowledge.
Research Officer: Master’s in Geography, Geology, or related subjects.
Horticulture Development Officer: Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture or Agriculture.
Soil Conservation Assistant: BSc in Agriculture, Horticulture, Soil Science or BE/BTech in Agricultural Engineering.

Pay Scale
- Assistant Executive Engineers (Civil and Electronics): Level 10 as per 7th CPC pay matrix
- Assistant Director and Superintendent: Level 7 and Level 10 respectively

- Horticulture Development Officer and Soil Conservation Assistant (UT Ladakh): Level 8
