Recruitment for Various Senior Technical and Administrative Positions at NIT Warangal

About the Notification

The National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal), under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, invites online applications for direct recruitment and deputation/short-term contract for senior-level scientific, technical, sports, and administrative positions. There are 5 vacancies across four specialized posts with specific eligibility criteria including age limits and educational qualifications. The entire application process is conducted online.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for all posts is 56 years. Age relaxations are as follows:

• 10 years relaxation for Persons with Benchmark Disability (minimum 40%).
• Relaxation as per Government of India rules for Ex-Servicemen.
• Age relaxation for reserved and departmental candidates as applicable under rules.

Educational Qualifications

Principal Scientific/Technical Officer requires a B.E./B.Tech. or M.Sc./MCA degree in relevant fields with first-class or equivalent grade. Relevant fields for research include Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Material Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, and Biotechnology; for ICT include Computer Science and Information Technology. Minimum 15 years experience in scientific/technical roles including 8 years in senior roles.

Principal Students Activity and Sports Officer needs a Master’s Degree in Physical Education or Sports Science with at least 60% marks with documented sports and activity experience and has to qualify a national fitness test.

Senior Technical Officer (ICT) requires B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. in Computer Science/IT or MCA with first-class or equivalent grade, and preferably Ph.D.

Assistant Registrar requires Master’s Degree in any discipline with minimum 55% marks and is preferably qualified in Management/Engineering/Law.
