The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, through its National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), Gorakhpur, invites applications for contractual positions of Consultant (Administrative) and Young Professionals-II in scientific and administrative domains. These are purely temporary and contractual appointments to support the research and institutional activities of the Centre.

Age Limit
Consultant: Between 40 and 60 years (up to 70 years for retired Govt. servants).
Young Professional-II: Maximum 35 years.
Age relaxation as per ICMR/DOPT guidelines.
Educational Qualifications
- Consultant (Administrative): Professionals with minimum 8 years experience in Administration in Govt. Dept/PSUs/Autonomous bodies with Post Graduate degree in relevant subject such as Management/Public Administration; OR Retired Govt employees with Bachelor degree with Pay Level-7 or above and 10 years relevant experience.
- Young Professional-II (Scientific): Postgraduates in Life Sciences/Pharmacy/Statistics/Social Work/Sociology/BAMS/BSMS/MD AYUSH with at least 55% marks and 3 years post-qualification experience in relevant field.
- Young Professional-II (Administrative): Postgraduate in any discipline with minimum 55% marks and 3 years post-qualification experience, with knowledge of IT applications preferred.
- Young Professional-II (Finance & Accounts): M.Com/MBA with minimum 55% or CA (Inter)/ICWA (Inter)/CS (Inter) with 3 years post qualification experience; IT skills preferred.
