Recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales)

About the Notification

The State Bank of India has invited applications for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in clerical cadre across various states and UTs in India. Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the chosen state and will undergo a local language proficiency test after the main exam. Applicants can apply only for one state and will be assigned posting in that chosen state only. Transfers before 5 years are not permitted except in exceptional cases.

Vacancy Details

A total of 7,680 vacancies are available across different states and union territories for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales).

Age Limit

As of 01.04.2026, candidates must be between 20 and 28 years of age. Age relaxations are applicable as follows:

• OBC: 3 years
• SC/ST: 5 years
• PwBD (General/EWS): 10 years
• PwBD (OBC): 13 years
• PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
• Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 years (8 years for SC/ST Disabled Ex-Servicemen), max up to 50 years
• Widows, divorced and judicially separated women: 7 years
• Additional relaxations for trained apprentices exist

Educational Qualifications

Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university by 31.12.2026 is essential. Candidates in the final year of graduation may apply provisionally. Matriculate Ex-servicemen with valid special certificates are also eligible.

Pay Scale

Starting basic pay is Rs. 24,050 with two advance increments for graduates. Total emoluments at metropolitan centers approximate Rs. 46,000 per month, including allowances.

Selection Procedure

1. Phase I: Preliminary Exam covering English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning (100 marks)
2. Phase II: Main Exam covering General Awareness, English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning & Computer Aptitude (200 marks)
3. Phase III: Local Language Proficiency Test for those without prior education in local language
4. Bonus marks for trained apprentices
