Recruitment to Non-Management Posts in BPCL Mumbai Refinery & Kochi Refinery

About the Notification

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Maharatna CPSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, invites applications for various non-management technical entry-level posts at its Mumbai and Kochi Refineries. Selected candidates will join at NG-2 grade with a pay scale of ₹26,500 – ₹34,000. A total of 154 vacancies are available under different categories with specified educational qualifications, experience requirements, and other criteria.

Age Limit

General & EWS: 18 to 25 years
OBC (NCL): Max age 28 years with 3 years relaxation
SC/ST: Max age 30 years with 5 years relaxation
PwBD: 10 years relaxation (up to 15 years for SC/ST PwBD, up to 13 years for OBC PwBD)
Ex-Servicemen: Age reduction applicable for military service period
Maximum cumulative relaxation is 15 years.

Educational Qualification

Full-time regular Diploma approved by AICTE required with minimum 60% marks for General, EWS & OBC and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD. Qualifications per post code:

• Process Technician & Operator (Chemical): Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology
• Technician/Operator (Mechanical): Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Technician (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering

Part-time, correspondence or distance learning diplomas are not eligible. One year relevant post qualification experience or apprenticeship training is required.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed in NG-2 grade at minimum basic pay of ₹26,500 with maximum ₹34,000. Along with basic pay, industrial DA and other allowances as per company rules will apply.

Selection Process

1. Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 objective questions, 120 minutes, divided into 60 marks domain knowledge and 40 marks general aptitude.
2. Skill/Proficiency Test (SPT): Qualifying test at refinery location for shortlisted candidates.
3. Pre-Employment Medical Examination: Final appointment subject to medical fitness.
