Age Limit
For Post Code 35 (Mechanic): 18 to 22 years as of 01 July 2026, with an additional 5-year relaxation.
For Post Code 36 (Driver): 21 to 25 years as of 01 July 2026, with an additional 5-year relaxation.
Age relaxation as per category: SC, ST, BC, EWS - 5 years; State govt employees, NCC Instructors, and Ex-Servicemen also eligible for specified relaxations.
Educational Qualifications
Police Constable (Mechanic): Passed SSC or equivalent and possess an ITI Certificate in Auto Electrician, Motor Vehicle Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or Fitter.
Police Constable (Driver): Passed Intermediate or SSC with ITI Certificate plus valid Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle (HPMV) and Heavy Goods/Transport Vehicle license as on notification date.
Application Fee
Fee details are available on the TSLPRB official website. OC and BC candidates pay full fee; SC/ST candidates receive concessional fees. Discounts available for candidates applying to multiple notifications within 3 months.

Selection Process
- Physical Measurement & Efficiency Test (PMT/PET)
- Trade Test (for Mechanics) / Driving Test (for Drivers)
- Written Examination (technical objective paper, 200 marks, 3 hours)
