About the Notification

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) under the Government of India, Ministry of Railways, have released the Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) 01/2024 for the recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP) at Level 2. The vacancies are allotted zonally and category-wise. The recruitment process includes various stages such as Computer Based Tests (CBT-1 and CBT-2), Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), Document Verification (DV), and Medical Examination (ME).

Age Limit

Age must be between 18 to 30 years as on 01-07-2024. Age relaxation for different categories is as follows:

Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates must have completed minimum ITI or equivalent trade course relevant to ALP.
  • Relevant technical and trade qualifications are acceptable.
  • Applicants must possess all educational and technical qualifications by the last date of application.

Trades include Mechanical, Electrical, and related disciplines.

Application Fees

The examination fee is category-wise as follows:

Fees must be paid online via net banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI only. Applications without fee payment will be rejected.

Pay Scale

The pay scale starts at INR 19,900 per month under 7th CPC Level 2. Detailed pay matrix and grade pay will be as per official notification.

  2. Second Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2)
  3. Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
  4. Document Verification (DV)
  5. Medical Examination (ME)

How to Apply

  1. Create an account on the official RRB website.
  2. Select the respective Railway Recruitment Board.
  3. Fill in the online application form and upload required documents.
  4. Pay the examination fee online.
  5. Submit the final application and save/print the confirmation.
  6. Make corrections if necessary during the modification window (20-02-2024 to 29-02-2024) by paying modification fees.
