About the Notification
The Northeast Frontier Railway invites online applications from eligible Indian sports persons for 56 posts under the Sports Quota for the year 2026-27. This recruitment notification is issued as Employment Notification No: 04/2026. Candidates must fulfill specified educational qualifications, age limits, and sports achievement criteria. The selection process includes a sports performance trial, interview, and assessment of sports achievements and educational qualifications. Age Limit
Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years of age as on 1 January 2027 for all posts.
Age relaxations as per government rules applicable to different categories.
Educational Qualification

| Level 2/3 | Passed Class 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination from a government recognized board/council/institution. |
| Level 1 | Passed Class 10th (Matriculation) or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT. |

- Level 2/3: Grade Pay ₹1900/₹2000

Selection Process
- Trial of sports performance.
- Interview and assessment of sports achievements and educational qualifications.
Maximum of 100 marks: 40 marks from Trial Committee and 60 marks from Recruitment Committee.

- Fill in the application form carefully with all necessary information and documents, and pay the application fee.
- Keep a printout of the submitted application form. No hard copies to be sent by post.
Required Documents
- Scanned copy of educational qualification certificates or mark sheets.
- Certificates of recognized sports achievements held on or after 01-April-2024.
- Proof of date of birth certificate.
- Caste certificates for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS wherever applicable.
- Income certificate for EBC candidates claiming fee exemption.
- Minority community self-declaration.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) for candidates employed in government, PSU, or banks.
- Recent passport size photograph.
- Scanned copy of signature.
