Is This a Permanent Job?

No. These are temporary, project-based research positions, not permanent jobs, and not apprenticeships. The notices say the post lasts initially for one year or until the project ends, whichever is earlier, and can be extended based on performance evaluation. Selection does not entitle a candidate to any future position at RGCB, permanent or otherwise, because the post ends with the project.

Common requirements in both notices

  • Indian citizens could apply.
  • A first-class postgraduate degree in any branch of life sciences.

What the Notices Do Not Say

  • An application fee is not mentioned in the text reviewed.
  • No interview date or result is given.
  • Nothing indicates a deadline extension. Treat both advertisements as closed unless RGCB says otherwise on its careers page.

The RGCB site also lists later advertisements, including Adv. 05/2026 and Adv. 13/2026 for Junior Research Fellow. Their eligibility and dates were not part of the evidence here, so check each notice separately before relying on this page.
