How to check the written result
Where the result is published
The result is a roll-number list inside a PDF press note. UPSC lists it on its Written Results page with an upload date of 9 October 2026. The notice also says the result is available on the Commission's website, www.upsc.gov.in. The Important Links section on this page points to the official PDF.
What to look for
- Find your roll number in the list. The portion of the PDF reviewed for this article was a long list of roll numbers under a MALE CANDIDATES heading and was cut off before the end of the document. Check the full official PDF for the complete list, including any other category headings.
- The list shows roll numbers only. It does not show marks or cut-off marks.
What qualified candidates are asked to do
Register on the Indian Army recruiting website
The notice asks candidates to register online on joinindianarmy.nic.in within two weeks of the announcement of the written result. Successful candidates are then allotted Selection Centres and SSB interview dates, which are communicated on the registered e-mail ID. A candidate who has already registered on the site earlier does not need to register again. For queries or login problems, the notice gives dir-recruiting6-mod@nic.in as the e-mail address.
Keep original certificates for the SSB
Candidates should submit original certificates of age and educational qualification to the respective SSB during the interview. The notice says not to send original certificates to UPSC.
Candidature remains provisional
The notice states that the candidature of everyone on the list is provisional, in line with the conditions of admission to the examination. Appearing on the list is therefore not a final selection.

What the evidence does not tell us
- The date and venue of any candidate's SSB interview. These are communicated to registered candidates by e-mail.
- A final result date or any later schedule.
- The total number of qualified candidates. The reviewed text of the PDF was truncated, and this page does not give a count.
- Whether the PDF or listing is still available. The listing showed the result as uploaded on 9 October 2026, but this page cannot confirm current availability.
