  1. India Post launches DigiPIN, a 10-digit digital postal address system

    On 27 May 2025, India Post initiated the rollout of DigiPIN (Digital Postal Index Number), a revolutionary digital addressing system under the Ministry of Communications. DigiPIN maps locations into precise 4m x 4m grids across India using geo-coded 10-digit alphanumeric codes linked with latitude and longitude. This initiative aims to complement traditional 6-digit PIN codes by enhancing mail delivery accuracy, real-time tracking, and last-mile logistics, benefiting e-commerce, emergency services, and rural addressing. DigiPIN was developed in collaboration with IIT Hyderabad and ISRO's National Remote Sensing Centre and is supported by platforms like Know Your DIGIPIN and Know Your PIN Code launched simultaneously.

  6. Delhi Pollution Control Committee launches Road RADAR for real-time air pollution monitoring
