  1. Assam Releases ₹160 Crore Interim Flood Relief to Affected Families

  2. OPEC+ Approves 188,000 bpd Oil Production Increase for September 2026

    On August 2, 2026, OPEC+ approved an increase of 188,000 barrels per day (bpd) in crude oil production for September 2026.   3. Unified Pension Scheme Opted by Over 1.18 Lakh Central Government Employees

    The Unified Pension Scheme (UPS), introduced under the National Pension System (NPS) for Central Government employees, was notified on January 24, 2025, and became effective from April 1, 2025. By mid-July 2026, over 1.18 lakh employees had chosen the scheme.
