What is Photocatalytic Coating?
A coating that uses titanium dioxide activated by sunlight to break down harmful pollutants like nitrogen dioxide and hydrocarbons into harmless substances on roads and buildings.
Working Mechanism
Light activates titanium dioxide which triggers chemical reactions, purifying air and surfaces by decomposing pollutants.
Applications and Benefits
Applied on roads and infrastructure, it passively reduces air pollution and complements other pollution control measures, especially in congested urban areas.
