How to resize a signature to 10–20 KB
- Sign on plain white paper with a black-ink pen, as the bank and railway notices ask, and photograph or scan it in good light.
- Choose the image above. The maximum is already 20 KB and the minimum 10 KB (under More options).
- Select Resize image, check that every stroke of the signature is still clear in the preview, then download the JPG.
If the result is below 10 KB, your image is too small or too plain to reach the minimum. Use a larger, sharper photo of the signature rather than adding empty data; this tool never pads files. Crop away the empty paper around the signature before you start, so the signature fills the image.
Exams that ask for a 10–20 KB signature
These limits come from each exam’s official notice for the cycle shown. Rules change between cycles, so check your own notice.

SSC CGL (CGL 2026): The notice gives approximately 6 × 2 cm in §9.6 and 4 × 2 cm in Annexure IV. No single dimension is enforced here; confirm the applicable instruction with SSC.
Not every exam uses 10–20 KB
- RRB NTPC (Undergraduate — CEN 07/2025): 30–49 KB, at least 140 × 60 px. Read the guide

Signature resize questions
Can I make my signature exactly 20 KB?
The tool aims for the largest file at or below 20 KB, which keeps the most detail. A form that says 10–20 KB accepts anything in that range, so 18 KB or 19 KB is fine.
What size in pixels should a signature be?
Many forms state preferred pixel dimensions, such as 140 × 60 pixels in the bank exams above. Enter them under More options if your notice gives them. Pixel size and KB are separate limits: check both.
Is my signature uploaded or stored?
No. The image is processed in this browser tab and is not sent to our servers. You do not need an account.
Will the portal accept my resized signature?
Meeting the file-size limit does not guarantee acceptance. Check clarity and follow your notice’s rules on ink, paper and style; for example, bank exams say not to sign in capital letters.
