IBPS PO Signature & Photo Size: Declaration and Image Checker
For IBPS CRP PO/MT-XVI in 2026, the signature upload is a JPG/JPEG file of 10–20 KB. The photograph, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration have their own limits in the table above. The process also includes live photograph capture. Check the cycle before using these settings; they do not establish that registration is open.

Prepare the signature before compressing it
The PO/MT-XVI registration portal links the scanning guidelines used for this checker. They call for a black-ink signature on white paper and give 140 × 60 pixels as the preferred dimensions. A signature in capital letters is not acceptable. These are appearance instructions as well as file requirements.
Inspect the scan before changing its size. A wide blank border wastes space, but a crop through the first or last stroke damages the signature. Keep a small margin around the whole mark. Increasing the width of a blurred scan only makes a larger blurred image.
Use a separate export for each application field
- Select IBPS PO → CRP PO/MT-XVI (2026), then choose the document you are preparing.
- Choose your original image and check its current format and size.
- Rotate if necessary, adjust the crop, and set the output width. The height stays proportional.
- Prepare the download and inspect it before saving. Change the document selector before preparing the next image.
The declaration’s 50–100 KB range is larger than the signature’s 10–20 KB range. Compressing every file to 20 KB would therefore be the wrong workflow. Use meaningful filenames so that you can identify the photograph, signature, impression and declaration when the portal asks for them.
Handwritten declaration and thumb impression
Read the declaration wording in the PO/MT-XVI instructions and write it yourself as directed. This tool resizes the resulting image; it cannot check the wording or create handwriting. For the thumb impression, inspect the ridges in the actual downloaded file rather than relying on a small preview.
The guidelines list preferred image dimensions and scanner resolution separately. The checker reports pixels and bytes; it does not certify scanner DPI or physical dimensions. Follow the notice’s scanning instructions before selecting a file here. Consult its exception provisions if you cannot provide the specified impression or handwriting.
If a file will not fit
For an oversized file, remove unused margins or reduce the output width gradually. Recheck small letters and pen strokes after each export. If even the highest-quality export falls below the minimum, return to a larger, clearer scan. Artificial padding cannot improve the document and is not used.
Live capture must take place in the official application portal. After uploading each prepared image, check that it appears in the correct field and is readable there. “File checks passed” describes measurable file checks, not IBPS acceptance.
