SBI PO Photo & Signature Size: Requirements and Image Checker

These settings come from Annexure II of the 2026 SBI PO advertisement, checked on 2 October 2026. The advertisement gives preferred pixel dimensions as well as byte limits. A preferred dimension should not be presented as an exact machine-enforced constraint.

Keep the original scans in a separate folder. Working from the original each time avoids repeatedly compressing an already degraded download. Use a short, recognisable filename for each finished document.

Photo preparation and live capture do different jobs

Select SBI PO → Photograph for the uploaded file. Rotate it upright, crop unnecessary edges and set a proportional output width. The listed preferred dimensions are 200 × 230 pixels. Review the face and background after export; the tool cannot assess whether they meet the notice’s appearance requirements.

Do not try to feed this exported photograph into the live-capture step. Complete that step through the application’s camera instructions. An accepted uploaded photo does not complete every photograph requirement.

Signature, thumb impression and declaration

The signature’s preferred dimensions are 140 × 60 pixels, with black ink on white paper and no capital-letter signature. The left thumb impression uses a 20–50 KB range, while the declaration uses 50–100 KB. Their preferred dimensions are 240 × 240 and 800 × 400 pixels respectively.

Copy the declaration from this advertisement, including the personal details it asks you to insert. Banking declarations are not interchangeable. A resizer cannot check missing words, an incorrect date of birth or whether the writing is yours.

For an impression, inspect the ridge detail after download. If it looks like a dark patch before compression, take a clearer original. Read the notice’s alternatives if you cannot supply the specified thumb impression; do not choose an alternative solely to satisfy the checker.

When compression fails

1. Confirm that you selected the intended document. The declaration cannot use the signature’s file-size preset.
2. For an oversized export, remove empty margins and reduce width gradually while keeping all writing visible.
3. For an export below the minimum, start with a larger, better scan. The tool will not insert padding.
4. Review the downloaded JPEG at actual size and then in SBI’s upload preview.

Annexure II’s scanner DPI and physical-size instructions need separate attention. Canvas export does not certify them. Passing the file checks means that the checked format, bytes and applicable pixel constraints passed; it does not guarantee SBI acceptance.
