IBPS Clerk / CSA Photo & Signature Size: Image Checker
For IBPS Clerk / CSA-XVI in 2026, use JPG/JPEG files: photograph 20–50 KB, signature 10–20 KB, left thumb impression 20–50 KB and handwritten declaration 50–100 KB. CSA means Customer Service Associate. The application also requires a live photograph through its own capture process.

Match each image to the CSA application field
The CSA-XVI registration portal provides the scanning guidelines in Annexure IV. The checker above uses those instructions, checked on 2 October 2026. It does not indicate that applications are currently open.
The photograph and thumb impression share a byte range, but they are different documents. A size check cannot detect an accidental swap. Prepare and name one file at a time, then compare the selected filename and preview with the field label in the official form.
Photograph: crop the frame without stretching the face
The guidelines prefer 200 × 230 pixels for the uploaded photograph. To change the shape of your scan, change the crop first. Entering a new output width scales that crop proportionally; it should never squash the face to fit a box. Leave the required face and background visible.
Choose IBPS Clerk / CSA → Photograph, select the original and check it. Adjust the crop using the red outline, prepare the JPEG, then inspect the result before downloading. The live photograph remains a separate official-portal step.
Declaration: preserve the words, not just the KB count
The preferred declaration dimensions are 800 × 400 pixels; the file range is 50–100 KB. Copy the CSA-XVI declaration wording from the official notice in your own handwriting, following its ink, language and capital-letter instructions. Do not reuse a declaration from another recruitment simply because its image fits.
Before compressing, make sure every line is included in the crop. After downloading, open the image at normal size and read the full declaration. If small text becomes indistinct, return to the original and use less aggressive resizing. A larger permitted file can be more useful than the smallest possible file.
Signature and impression checks
The signature should use black ink on white paper; capital-letter signatures are not accepted. The guidelines prefer 140 × 60 pixels. For the left thumb impression they prefer 240 × 240 pixels, with separate scanner and physical-size instructions. Check the official exceptions if the specified impression cannot be supplied.
Pixel dimensions, scanner DPI and physical measurements are different. This checker does not certify DPI. If the portal rejects a file that passes byte checks, compare its manual scanning instructions, appearance and selected document field before repeatedly recompressing it.
Download and final review
Switch the document selector before preparing each file. If the output is too large, reduce empty margins or output width. If it is below the minimum, use a clearer, larger original; the tool never pads it with extra bytes. Review every downloaded image again in the application preview. Passing here does not guarantee acceptance.
Use the shared image compressor for another examination. The official CSA-XVI source and verification date are shown beside the requirements table and below.
